The Texas Ceegar
The Texas Ceegar was built by Jack Wilson & J.H. “Stormy” Mangham. On Sept. 6th, 1956 Texas Racer Johnny Allen rode it at the Bonneville Salt Flats to set the unofficial world speed record at 214mph. The Triumph Motorcycle Company in England later named one of their bikes the “Bonneville”. The Texas Ceegar was damaged in 2003 during a fire at the British Museum. Ed Mabry & Keith Martin restored the bike in 2004 and it was painted by Linear Automotive’s own Jason Small. The checkers & numbers were tediously painted by Jason and the total paint job took over 16 hours to complete. The bike now rests at the Museum in England.
